Introduction


This Unit improves parents’ knowledge on child development. An also help for the parents to understand the diagnosis and able to ask the good questions.


What you will learn


Once you have completed this learning unit you should:

know the basics and milestones of child development from the birth until the age of 7.

be able to reflect to your child/children behaviour and development.

have ideas to help your child and connect to him/her.

When participating in this Learning Unit, you will be presented with reading material, but also with practical activities.

To have a clearer idea, this will be the structure of the Learning Unit:


Development during the first year
The second year - Developmental milestones from the 12th to the 24th month
Year 2-3
Year 3-4
Year 4-5
Year 5-6
Year 6-7


This learning unit is planned to be completed in three hours. You can do it at your own pace.


Prerequisites 


You do not need to have any prior knowledge to take part in this learning unit.
